Fifteen new all-terrain litter vehicles (ATLVs) are set to hit City streets, allowing the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) to expand cleaning operations for business districts and gateways into surrounding neighborhoods.

Baltimore Mayor Catherine E. Pugh and Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., today issued a statement confirming their commitment to keeping Baltimore’s water system a public property, operated by and accountable to the citizens.

Although the recent weeks’ heavy rains have tested local sewer systems, the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) is making progress on major projects to improve its sewer infrastructure and continues to encourage residents to take steps to keep their drains clean.
