Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Acting Director Matthew W. Garbark reminds residents that Presidents' Day, Monday, February 15, 2021, is a City holiday.  DPW offices and sanitation yards will be CLOSED. Monday, February 15, is not a scheduled trash or recycling collection day.

Today, Acting Director Matthew W. Garbark announced that the Department would resume routine trash and recycling collections tomorrow, Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Trash and recycling not collected on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, will be collected on Saturday, February 6, 2021.

Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Acting Director Matthew Garbark has announced that recruitment is now underway for the 2021 Class of YH₂O Career Mentoring Program participants.  Applications will be accepted January 25 through February 26, 2021.  Applicants’ interviews will be held March 8 and 9, the Program officially begins on March 15.  To date, 96 youthful Baltimoreans have completed the Program and gone on to work in entry-level jobs in DPW and other water industry entities.
