City Holiday: Presidents' Day Monday, February 15 DPW Yards, Offices Are Closed

Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Acting Director Matthew W. Garbark reminds residents that Presidents' Day, Monday, February 15, 2021, is a City holiday.  DPW offices and sanitation yards will be CLOSED.

Monday, February 15, is not a scheduled trash or recycling collection day.

DPW facilities closed on Presidents' Day to residents and haulers include:

  • Northwest Transfer Station, 5030 Reisterstown Road
  • Quarantine Road Landfill, 6100 Quarantine Road
  • Northwest Citizens' Convenience Center, 2840 Sisson Street
  • Southwestern Citizens’ Convenience Center, 701 Reedbird Avenue
  • Eastern Citizens’ Convenience Center, 6101 Bowleys Lane

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Acting Director Khalil Zaied reminds residents that Juneteenth will be observed on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. As a City-observed holiday, DPW offices and sanitation yards will be CLOSED. Trash and recycling collections WILL NOT take place on the Juneteenth holiday closure. The trash and recycling make-up day is Saturday, June 22. There will be NO street sweeping during the Juneteenth closure.

Mayor Scott, DPW Announce Water Billing System Upgrades Water Bills to Get New Look and User-Friendly Improvements for Customer Self-Service Portal

 Mayor Brandon M. Scott and the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) have announced that starting this month the water bills mailed to Baltimore City residents will have a new look, making them easier to read and easier to pay. DPW’s water billing upgrade efforts also include improvements to its Customer Self-Service Portal, creating a user-friendly, one-stop shop for customers to manage and pay their monthly water bills.
