Residents of Baltimore County recently received water bills with a payment due date of November 1, 2019.  For many residents, that date is incorrect. This issue was caused by an internal coding used to extend the ransomware late fee forgiveness period.

DPW Mourns Spokesman Jeffrey Raymond

Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., regretfully announced the untimely death of Jeffrey Raymond, spokesman for the Baltimore City Department of  Public Works (DPW), who passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 27, 2019. “The entire Department of Public Works extends our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Mr. Raymond’s family.”

EPA Offers Significant Loan Opportunity to DPW

The United States Environmental Protection Agency has again offered Baltimore City an opportunity to apply for a second set of Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) loans worth up to $392 million. The savings on WIFIA loans over conventional loans extends into the tens of millions of dollars.

Registration deadlines extended for the Mayor’s Fall Cleanup and Cleanup Cup Competition

There’s still time to register to participate in the Mayor’s Fall Cleanup and the Mayor’s Cleanup Cup competition.  Registration sign-up for the Fall Cleanup and for entry into the Cleanup Cup have both been extended until Monday, October 21. 

DPW Customer Support and Services Walk-In Center Hours return to 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., weekdays

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works today announced that the Customer Support and Services Walk-In Center, located in the Abel Wolman Municipal Building, will go back to regular working hours (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) on Tuesday, October 15, 2019.
