Mayor Brandon M. Scott and Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Jason Mitchell remind City residents to come out for the Mayor’s Fall Cleanup on Saturday, October 23, 2021! For this citywide day of cleaning, residents are encouraged to “Clean Where You Live” by putting on a mask and picking up a broom to clean up loose litter around their properties and alleyways.
The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) is committed to being a protector of our environment and the health and vitality of the waterways that serve our communities. This summer, MDE’s inspectors issued notices of reported violations that included mostly reporting and business process concerns, as well as some violations regarding the Back River’s and Patapsco’s National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits. DPW has corrected the reporting and business process violations, which includes implementing corrective measures regarding the MDE report.
Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Jason W. Mitchell reminds residents that Indigenous Peoples Day (formerly known as Columbus Day), Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, is a City holiday. DPW offices and sanitation yards will be CLOSED.
