Heavy Rains Contribute to Sewer Overflows

This week’s heavy rains contributed to three sewer overflows, discharging 1.87 million gallons of stormwater mixed with sewer water. Most of the overflow volume stemmed from the severe rain that pounded parts of Baltimore City during the Tuesday, August 6, evening rush hour. 

Progress Continues at Howard/Pratt Streets Worksite

Today, two northbound lanes on Howard Street, from Conway to Pratt, opened to traffic, signaling the progress that the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) and its partners continue to make on the infrastructure repairs at Pratt and Howard Streets.

Water Billing Resumes: Bills will reflect charges for multiple months

Sign Up Now for the Annual Mayor’s Fall Cleanup

Registration for the Mayor’s Fall Cleanup is under way, and continues until Friday, October 18. Community leaders from all over Baltimore can call 311 to register their neighborhoods and volunteers for participation in this big cleaning event.  This year’s Fall Cleanup takes place Saturday, October 26, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
