Application for Redevelopment Waiver: McHenry Row II Parking Garage

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver. If granted, the project will still need to provide water qualitative controls, per the requirements of the State’s Design Manual.

Project Description:

The project has an approximate area of 3.19 acres and is bounded by E. Fort Avenue to the north, existing businesses to the east, the existing McHenry Row development to the west, and CSX railway to the south. The project will consist of the construction of a 4-level parking structure and lawn areas, and removal of portions of an existing parking area with restoration to pre-developed conditions.

The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code. The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver. The project will provide impervious area reduction to satisfy the requirements of this waiver for 3.13 ac of this project.
