Application for Qualitative Control Waiver: BGE Granite Pipeline Relocation Project (Phase 2)

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a qualitative control and quantitative control waivers.

Project Description:

This linear utility installation project has an approximate area of 18.6 acres and is located entirely within Leakin Park, owned by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, beginning east of Cooks Lane, just south of the Interstate 70 Park and Ride facility and ending north of the intersection of Stokes Drive and Wildwood Parkway, near the Edmonson Village neighborhood. The project will consist of the installation of 26” diameter gas transmission main to replace the existing gas transmission main within Leakin Park.

The Applicant is requesting a qualitative control waiver in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-2 of the City Code. The Applicant has demonstrated that the 18.6 acre project will return the disturbed area to a predevelopment runoff condition. The applicant will not be required to provide qualitative control controls for the 18.6 acre project.

You are being notified because you own property adjoining the proposed utility installation.
