Today, Mayor Brandon M. Scott joined Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Jason W. Mitchell, Ed.D., to launch B’More WISE – the Baltimore Water Infrastructure Strategic Educational Program. B’More WISE provides technical-based training to Baltimore residents dedicated to pursuing long-term careers in the water and wastewater industries as licensed water and wastewater operators.

DPW Offices, Sanitation Yards Closed: Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 24

Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Jason W. Mitchell, Ed.D., reminds residents that Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, 2022, is a Baltimore City holiday. DPW offices and sanitation yards will be CLOSED. Trash and recycling collections WILL BE impacted by the holiday closure. Trash/Recycling makeup day is Saturday, November 26, 2022.

Update on Sinkhole at Montebello I Water Treatment Plan

"DPW has maintained the integrity of the sinkhole site, and contractors are now onsite determining the next steps for repairing the infrastructure affected by the sinkhole. We anticipate this work will be ongoing over the next several weeks."
