Public and private-sector stakeholders – including environmental advocates; representatives from city businesses, schools, and hospitals; and those who live and work across the city – are among those who will have a chance to weigh in on the “Less Waste, Better Baltimore” Recycling and Solid Waste Management Master Plan.  

With the weather forecast showing snow followed by sub-freezing temperatures, the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) is cancelling street sweeping for the remainder of the week, Wednesday, Jan. 30 – Friday, Feb. 1

As Baltimore braces for a week of freezing temperatures and a predicted mixed-bag of precipitation on Tuesday, DPW crews are busy repairing broken water mains.  Extreme temperatures, and the resulting freezing and thawing activity, leads to an increase in water main breaks and leaks.
