City of Baltimore, DPW Statement on Back River and Patapsco Wastewater Treatment Settlement

Today, Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023, the Baltimore City Department of Public Works released the following statement regarding the settlement reached with the Maryland Department of the Environment and Maryland Attorney General’s Office regarding the Back River and Patapsco Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs).

The Modified Consent Decree Revised Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Plan has officially been released by the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) and is available on the DPW Website for review and comment in accordance with the Modified Sanitary Sewer Consent Decree (MCD).
