Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Jason W. Mitchell today announced that DPW has published its 2021 Water Quality Report. The report shows that the water DPW provides to residential and commercial customers continues to meet or exceed regulatory standards.

DPW Launches New Quality Assurance Survey for Water Bill Concerns

Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW), Customer Service and Support Division launched its new Quality Assurance Survey. The survey's launch will provide the Department with direct feedback from City residents regarding their water billing customer service requests experience. 

Juneteenth: DPW Offices, Sanitation Yards Closed Monday June 20

Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Jason W. Mitchell reminds residents that Juneteenth will be observed on, Monday, June 20, 2022, and is a City holiday. DPW offices and sanitation yards will be CLOSED. Weekly trash and recycling collections are NOT impacted by the Juneteenth closure. Monday is not a scheduled curbside trash or recycling collection day.

DPW Establishes Environmental Regulatory Compliance Section

Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Jason W. Mitchell announced the creation of DPW’s Environmental Regulatory Compliance Section. To lead the new section, Director Mitchell selected Andrea Buie-Branam, who brings 35 years of regulatory compliance experience working for the Maryland Department of Environment (MDE) and the Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA).

DPW Presents Lowest Water/Sewer/Stormwater Rates Proposal to Board of Estimates in Decades

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) has asked the Board of Estimates (BOE) for a public hearing on June 15, 2022, to consider a 3-year rate proposal. DPW is proposing a 3.0% increase for Water, 3.5% increase for Sewer, and 3.0% for Stormwater service. The requested rate adjustment represents a 67% reduction from previous water rate increases.
