Sewer Overflow affecting Western Run Reported

Work is in progress to abate a slow but steady sanitary overflow at the 6300 block of Wirt Avenue which discharges into the Western Run. Over several weeks the volume reached more than 40,000 gallons.  Work continues on sewer lines in the area to fix the overflow. 

Howard Street Progress to Allow for Street Openings

Work on the large void at Pratt and Howard Streets is being performed in a comprehensive, smart, and safe manner.  More traffic lanes should be open next week.

Program Provides Customers Independent Review of Bills

Several weeks ago, Mayor Young announced that the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) would be partnering with the City’s Environmental Control Board (ECB) to provide an independent review of billing disputes, using the ECB Hearing Officers.

In the Mail: Postcard Explaining Your Upcoming Water Bills

A postcard is in the mail alerting Baltimore City and County customers that their water bills will be resuming soon, and explaining that their first bill will be higher than normal, covering the months of May, June, and July. The Baltimore City Department of the Public Works (DPW) is confident that the City’s water billing system will be fully operational in the coming weeks.
