Now Available: 2019 Water Quality Report

Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Acting Director Matthew W. Garbark today announced that DPW has published its 2019 Water Quality Report.  The report shows that the water that we provide to residential and commercial customers continues to meet or exceed regulatory standards.

REMINDER: Comments on Water Affordability Regulations Due on June 4

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) reminds residents and stakeholders that June 4, 2020, is the deadline to submit written comments on proposed rules and regulations to facilitate a key portion of the Water Accountability and Equity Act (WAEA). These draft regulations address customer service and support for water, wastewater, and storm water billing, and focus on resolving water billing disputes.

DPW Announces June Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Days

Baltimore City Department of Public Works Acting Director Matthew W. Garbark has announced that the Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off event will occur as scheduled, on Friday and Saturday, June 5 and 6.  The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on both days at the Sisson Street Drop-Off Center, located at 2840 Sisson Street. This event will be ONLY for Household Hazardous Waste disposal.  Bulk trash, single stream recycling, and other items will not be accepted.

County Water Billing Will Resume in June/July

Baltimore City Mayor Jack Young and Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski announced today that water billing for County residents will resume beginning in June and July. Water bills were delayed due to the need to modify operations in response to the COVID-19 pandemic while trying to protect the health and safety of crucial staff in Baltimore City’s Department of Public Works Customer Services and Support Division which manages the water billing system.
