The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a variance of Stormwater Management

Project Description: | The project has an approximate area of 2.83 acres and is located at the northwest quadrant of the intersection of Evanshire Avenue and Hamilton Avenue. The project consists of a new development for the construction of a new recreation center building, playground, access drive to Hamilton Avenue, and a parking lot. The Applicant is requesting a variance in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-4 of the City Code for approximately 1.46 acres of this project for recharge provisions. The Applicant has demonstrated that 2.83 acres of the project will provide water quality and quantity controls. The applicant will not be required to provide recharge provisions for 1.46 acres of impervious area associated with this project due to close proximity of three publicly owned large culverts that traverse the property.
