Application for Redevelopment Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver. If granted, the project will still need to provide water qualitative controls, per the requirements of the State’s Design Manual.

Project Description: The project has an approximate area of 1.5 acres and is located on Mount Street 300 feet north of the intersection of Riggs Avenue. The project will consist of site improvements around an existing emergency shelter for women and children including a new parking lot, pedestrian walkways, site lighting and playgrounds.

The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code.  The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver.  The project will provide impervious area reduction and water quality controls to satisfy the requirements of this waiver for 1.5 acres of this project.
