Application for Redevelopment Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver. If granted, the project will still need to provide water qualitative controls, per the requirements of the State’s Design Manual.

Project Description: The project has an approximate area of 4.49 acres and is bounded by Village Square commercial/retail buildings to the north, Falls Road to the east, an existing parking garage and Jones Falls to the west, and remaining Village at Cross Keys property area to the south. The project will consist of the reconstruction of the existing parking and the construction of new retail buildings. The project includes associated stormwater management measures including ESD facilities and landscape improvements.

The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code.  The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver. The project will provide stormwater management by way of ESD facilities to satisfy the requirements of this waiver for 1.41 ac of this project.
