Application for Quantitative/Qualitative Control Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a quantitative and qualitative control waiver.

Project Description:     The project has an approximate disturbed area of 0.69 acres and is in the Glen Avenue Sewer Subbasin surrounding the intersection of Glen Avenue and Park Heights Avenue. The project will primarily consist of repairs, cleaning and rehabilitation of existing sanitary sewer mains and manholes. The work includes replacement of existing sanitary sewer with new upsized sanitary sewer in Glen Avenue and installation of a new sanitary sewer along Park Heights Avenue and Devonshire Drive.

The Applicant is requesting a Quantitative Control Waiver in accordance with Article 7, Division II §23-1 of the City Code. The Applicant has demonstrated that 0.69 acres of the project does not increase the impervious area draining to Jones Falls. The applicant will not be required to provide quantitative controls for 0.69 acres of this project.

The Applicant is requesting a Qualitative Control Waiver in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-2 of the City Code.  The Applicant has demonstrated that 0.69 acres of the project will return the disturbed area to a predevelopment runoff condition. The applicant will not be required to provide qualitative controls for 0.69 acres of this project.
