Application for Redevelopment Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver. If granted, the project will still need to provide water qualitative controls, per the requirements of the State’s Design Manual.

Project Description: The project has an approximate area of 0.795 acres and is located southeast at the intersection of East Monument Street and North Central Avenue. The project will consist of expansion of a new gymnasium and the construction of a new playground, as well as associated parking, sidewalks, utilities, and stormwater management.

The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code.  The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver.  The project will provide water quality controls, impervious area reduction to satisfy the requirements of this waiver for 0.64 ac of this project.
