Application for Redevelopment Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver. If granted, the project will still need to provide water qualitative controls, per the requirements of the State’s Design Manual.

Project Description: The project has an approximate area of 41.86 acres and is bounded by Cromwell Street to the north, West Peninsula Drive to the West, and the harbor to the south. The project will consist of the reconfiguration of the existing parking areas in order to accommodate a new field and building along with associated utility installation. Stormwater Management (SWM) includes the use of existing SWM facilities through the site.

The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code.  The existing impervious area coverage (22.56 Ac.) meets the conditions for this waiver. The project will provide water quality controls to satisfy the requirements of this waiver for 22.56 ac of this project.
