Application for Qualitative Control Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a variance of Stormwater Management.

Project Description: The project has an approximate area of 33.40 acres with an impervious area requiring treatment of 19.80 acres and is located at the southeast quadrant of the intersection of S. Caton Ave and Benson Avenue. The project consists of new development for construction of two (2) buildings with loading docks, access roads, employee parking areas, landscaped areas, and utility infrastructure for industrial use.  

The Applicant has demonstrated that on-site water quality control is not practicable. The Applicant is requesting a Qualitative Control Waiver in accordance with Article 7, Division II, Subtitle 23-2(4) of the City Code for approximately 0.77 acres of impervious area which cannot be treated in the on-site SWM facilities.  The applicant will not be required to provide qualitative control for 0.77 acres of this project.
