Application for Redevelopment Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver. If granted, the project will still need to provide water qualitative controls, per the requirements of the State’s Design Manual.

Project Description: The project has an approximate area of 1.18 acres and is located at the southwest corner at the intersection of W. Baltimore Street and S. Poppleton Street. The project will include an at grade parking lot for the surrounding buildings.

The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-7 of the City Code.  The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver.  The project will provide a reduction in impervious area and water quality controls to satisfy the requirements of this waiver for 0.55 ac. of this project.

AND

The Applicant is requesting a qualitative control waiver in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-2 of the City Code.  The Applicant has demonstrated that 0.08 ac of the project will return the disturbed area to a predevelopment runoff condition. The applicant will not be required to provide qualitative control for 0.08 ac of this project.
