The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a stormwater management (SWM) variance. If granted, the project will still need to provide water qualitative controls in accordance with the SWM Concept Report, per the requirements of the State’s Design Manual.

Project Description: The project has an approximate area of 5.69 acres and is located at 2300 Broening Highway, Baltimore, Maryland 21224. The project will consist of grading, drainage, stormwater management quality and quantity control, and construction of a 3.76 acre paved and gravel surface parking lot. 

The Applicant is requesting a SWM variance in accordance with Article 7, §24-2 of the City Code. The Applicant will satisfy the requirements by providing stormwater treatment for 3.28 acres. Although the qualitative control requirements will be met, a portion of the proposed impervious area will not drain to the proposed stormwater management water facility, and applicant will payment of fee-in-lieu of on-site stormwater management for the 0.48 ac of remaining untreated impervious.
