The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a qualitative control and quantitative control waivers.

Project Description: The project has an approximate area of 1.67 acres (0.97 acre disturbed) and is located within Maryland Ave. from 300’ north of W Oliver Street south to W Mt Royal Avenue; in W & E Mt Royal Ave. from Maryland Ave. east to Guilford Ave.; and south in Guilford Ave to E Preston St. with laterals in W Oliver St, Maryland Ave south, N Charles St, St. Paul St south, N Calvert St south and E Preston St west.  The project will consist of installation by trenching of 2,600’ of 30” steel gas main, 4” to 8” laterals in various cross streets and connection to existing service lines, all within the existing pavement of Baltimore City streets. 

The Applicant is requesting a qualitative control waiver in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-2 of the City Code.  The Applicant has demonstrated that the 0.97 ac of the project will return the disturbed area to a predevelopment runoff condition. The applicant will not be required to provide qualitative control controls for 0.97 ac of this project.
