The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a qualitative control and quantitative control waivers.

Project Description: This routine maintenance project has an approximate area of 19,000 square feet and is located entirely within Leakin Park, owned by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, beginning at an access point off of Sideleigh Road, just east of Cooks Lane.  The project will consist of limited access to an existing BGE right-of-way for the purpose of routine maintenance involving several approximately 10’ x 12’ excavations to inspect the existing Granite 26” diameter gas transmission main to assess corrosion and safely repair any defects.  This project is in the utmost consideration of public health, safety and welfare and is required by federal regulation. 

The Applicant is requesting a qualitative control waiver in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-2 of the City Code.  The Applicant has demonstrated that the 19,650 square foot project will return the disturbed area to a predevelopment runoff condition. The applicant will not be required to provide qualitative control controls for the project.

You are being notified because you own property adjoining the proposed utility installation.
