The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver. If granted, the project will still need to provide water qualitative controls, per the requirements of the State’s Design Manual.

Herring RunProject Description: The project has an approximate area of 2.14 acres and is located northwest at the intersection of Belair Road and Parkmont Avenue. The project will consist of; 1) removing the existing buildings and macadam parking areas, 2) construct (2) new 1-story buildings for mixed retail and commercial use, 3) construct new macadam parking area incorporating adjacent parking lot and traffic flow, 4) subdividing the parcel creating a separate lot for one of the proposed retail buildings, and 5) install (1) micro-bioretention facility and (1) underground sand filter for the treatment of stormwater management.
The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code. The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver. The project will provide a combination of water quality controls and impervious area reduction to satisfy the requirements of this waiver for 0.805 acres of impervious for this project.
