Application for Qualitative Control Waiver: IMPROVEMENTS TO THE GWYNNS FALLS SEWERSHED COLLECTION SYSTEM – AREA A

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a qualitative control waiver.

Project Description:

The project has an approximate area of 3,913.5 acres and is located in the Gwynns Falls Sewershed. The project will consist of the proposed rehabilitation of approximately 110,026 linear feet of sanitary sewer and replacement of approximately 5,378 linear feet of sanitary sewer. Sewer rehabilitation improvements will be accomplished through lining sewer mains, point repairs, and open cut installation. Johnson, Mirmiran and Thompson, Inc. also intends to rehabilitate approximately 531 sanitary manholes. All disturbed areas will be restored in kind.

The Applicant is requesting a qualitative control waiver in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-2 of the City Code. The Applicant has demonstrated that the 2.88 ac of the project will return the disturbed area to a predevelopment runoff condition. The applicant will not be required to provide qualitative control controls for 2.88 ac of this project.
