DPW Holiday Notice for Christmas and New Year’s Day

Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Acting Director Matthew W. Garbark reminds citizens that Christmas Day, Friday, December 25 and New Year’s Day, Friday, January 1 are holidays.  DPW offices, yards and Community Collection Centers will be CLOSED.

Trash collections scheduled for Friday, December 25 will be collected on the make-up day, Saturday, December 26.

Trash collections scheduled for Friday, January 1 will be collected on the make-up day, Saturday, January 2.

The facilities closed on Christmas Day, December 25 and New Year’s Day, January 1 to residents and haulers include:

  • Northwest Transfer Station, 5030 Reisterstown Road
  • Quarantine Road Landfill, 6100 Quarantine Road
  • Northwest Citizens' Convenience Center, 2840 Sisson Street
  • Southwestern Citizens’ Convenience Center, 701 Reedbird Avenue
  • Eastern Citizens’ Convenience Center, 6101 Bowleys Lane

DPW Offices, Yards Closed Monday, July 5 for July Fourth Holiday -- Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off: Friday, July 2 and Saturday, July

Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Acting Director Jason W. Mitchell reminds residents that DPW offices and sanitation yards will be CLOSED on Monday, July 5, 2021, in observance of the Fourth of July Holiday. Weekly trash and recycling collections are NOT impacted by the July 5 closure. Monday is not a scheduled curbside trash or recycling collection day.
