City Holiday: Good Friday – April 18, 2014

BALTIMORE, MD (April 16, 2014) – Public Works Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., reminds everyone that Good Friday, April 18, 2014, is a City holiday. Department of Public Works’ offices and yards will be CLOSED that day.

There will be no solid waste or recycling collection on Good Friday.

Trash or recycling that is normally collected on Fridays, will be collected on the make-up day, Saturday, April 19, 2014. This includes the downtown area.

NO BULK TRASH collections are scheduled for Friday.

All Citizen Convenience Centers WILL BE CLOSED, including Quarantine Road Landfill.

Mechanical street sweeping will not take place Friday.

Citizens will be unable to access city offices for bill payments or permits. Some bills can be paid online. Please visit www.baltimorecity.gov

Parking meters WILL be in effect.

TODAY, Friday Aug. 9: DPW Cancels ALL Solid Waste Services---Recycling, Trash, Street Sweeping, Landfill Operations Suspended and Drop-off Centers Closed

Due to the extended tornado watch issued for the Baltimore area by the National Weather Service, the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) is cancelling ALL Solid Waste services today, Friday, August 9. In addition to the suspension of trash and recycling collections and mechanical street sweeping services, DPW is suspending operations at the Quarantine Road Landfill and at the Northwest Transfer Station and closing all Residential Drop-Off Centers.

Due to weather advisories issued by the National Weather Service, the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) is cancelling all trash and recycling collections and mechanical street sweeping services on Friday, August 9, 2024. The trash and recycling make-up day will be Monday, August 12.
