DPW’s Columbus Day Closures and Service Interruptions

BALTIMORE MD (October 12 2013) - Director Alfred H. Foxx reminds residents that Columbus Day is a City holiday and the Department of Public Works’ offices will be closed Monday, October 14, 2013.
On Columbus Day – Monday, October 14:
NO TRASH AND RECYCLING COLLECTION: Mondays are not regular curbside trash and recycling collection days in Baltimore City.
DPW’s YARDS CLOSED: Drop-off centers and yards will be closed on Columbus Day, including the Quarantine Road Landfill, the Northwest Transfer Station; and the Eastern, Western and Northwestern Citizen Convenience Centers.
MECHANICAL STREET SWEEPING: There will be no mechanical street sweeping on Columbus Day.
BULK TRASH: There is no bulk trash collection scheduled on Columbus Day.
PARKING METERS: Parking meters will be in effect on Columbus Day.
