Trash Collection Resumes

Public Works Director Alfred H. Foxx announced today that trash, recycling and bulk trash collections will resume tomorrow, Wednesday, October 31, 2012.  Saturday, November 3, 2012 will be the make-up day for cancelled bulk, trash and recycling missed on Tuesday due to Hurricane Sandy.
All citizen drop-off centers are reopening tomorrow for normal operating hours.
Mechanical street sweeping will also return to normal operations tomorrow.

DPW Announces Passing of Solid Waste Worker

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) is heartbroken to announce the loss of a dedicated member of our Bureau of Solid Waste, Timothy Cartwell, a solid waste worker assigned to the Reedbird Sanitation Yard. His passing is a profound loss for our agency, and we extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and colleagues.
