Update: Millington Avenue Gas Main Break - Service restoration wrapping up, Outreach continues

As BGE and Baltimore City workers continue to address the few remaining homes which have not had their gas service fully restored, Baltimore City reminds citizens that our outreach to the Mill Hill and Carrollton Ridge Communities continues. In addition to restoring water and natural gas service to an area encompassing over 1,000 homes, additional assistance has been provided to these neighborhoods, including the installation of smoke detectors in 74 residences.
Citizens and lordlords with appliances damaged by the water main break are encouraged to contact their insurance companies and can also obtain a claim form at the Samuel Morse Recreation Center or by calling 410-396-3400. The Baltimore City Law Department will process these claims as quickly as possible.
As the main operation demobilizes, citizens are encouraged to call 311 or 410-396-1977 if there are any water main / gas main break-related issues.
The Customer Care Center at the Samuel Morse Recreation Center at 424 S. Pulaski Street remains open until 8:00 p.m. tonight will remain open from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. through Friday. On Tuesday, February 21, additional Human Services personnel will be at this location from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. to answer questions from residents and to provide guidance on everything from animal control and energy assistance to weatherization and tenant-landlord relations. City plumbers and Housing Inspectors will be on site to also provide help with any outstanding issues. This will be a comprehensive outreach to the community to make sure that all citizen concerns are answered. Available at this location are:

Citizens are reminded to be careful when using any approved electrical heating devices. Kerosene heaters and gas generators within the home are illegal and extremely dangerous.
