DPW PROJECT REACHES A MILESTONE

Baltimore City Department of Public Works Acting Director, Matthew W. Garbark today announced that a milestone has been reached in construction of the finished drinking water tanks at the Druid Lake Reservoir. Workers have now completed the walls and roof on one of the two storage tanks being constructed at the site.

Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) water billing operations are on track to resume Friday, May 8.  It is important to note that every customer will not receive a bill on May 8 as water bills are mailed out in cycles by zip codes.

Garbark asks residents to stay alert as heavy rain  and strong winds are expected to hit the Baltimore area today, Thursday, April 30. The National Weather Service forecasts periods of moderate to heavy rain through this afternoon. Heavy rain may lead to minor flooding.

Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Acting Director Matthew W. Garbark asks residents to stay alert as heavy rain is expected to hit the Baltimore area tomorrow, Thursday, April 30. The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the Baltimore-Washington region starting at 4 a.m. Thursday and continuing through 10 p.m., with wind gusts as high as 29 mph.
