Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., reminds everyone that Presidents Day, Monday, February 18, 2019, is a City holiday. DPW offices and yards WILL BE CLOSED.
Baltimore City Department of Public Works Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., and Department of Transportation Director Michelle Pourciau announced that Loch Raven Drive between Providence Road and Morgan Mill Road in Baltimore County has been reopened to motorists.
The “Less Waste, Better Baltimore” Recycling and Solid Waste Management Master Plan process is moving into the community, with two public meetings scheduled for the coming weeks. The first meeting is 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Edmonson-Westside High School, 501 N. Athol Avenue.
Applications are now being accepted for Care-A-Lot Program grants. Care-A-Lot is a city-led BMORE Beautiful initiative that supports innovative community groups and organizations who want to clean, mow, maintain and beautify vacant lots in Baltimore City.
The Northwest Transfer Station, 5330 Reisterstown Road, will be CLOSED for needed renovations to the scale house. This will begin on Monday, February 18, 2019. Anticipated reopening of the facility will be Monday, March 4, 2019.
