Crews from the Baltimore City Department of Public Works are conducting leak detection work in the vicinity of Light Street and East Baltimore Street. The task being performed is to determine the location of a water main leak that had caused flooding in the basement of a nearby building.

DPW Reports Three Sanitary Sewer Overflows

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works estimates that on Sunday, February 11, 2018, approximately 5.7 million gallons of wastewater mixed with rainwater overflowed into the Jones Falls, and 36 thousand gallons overflowed into the Western Run .
