The 30-day public comment period for Baltimore City’s watershed assessments of the North Lower Branch Patapsco and Baltimore Harbor watersheds is being extended by four weeks, to 5 p.m. on Jan. 16, 2019.

This week the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., and his senior leadership team will host three community meetings throughout the city.  Director Chow will be on hand to answer questions and share information about what the Department is doing to serve Baltimore City residents.

DPW to Launch Mitten Tree Campaign with Music-Filled Celebration

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) will hold a holiday-themed, musical celebration to mark the start of the City’s 45th annual Mitten Tree Campaign on Friday, Dec. 7. This event will be held in the lobby of the Abel Wolman Municipal Building, 200 Holliday Street. The music starts at 11 a.m., and the  ceremony begins at 11:30 a.m.

DPW Set to Host Series of Community Meetings

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) will hold a series of community meetings throughout the City beginning Tuesday, December 11, 2018. At the community meetings, residents will get a chance to learn about the work we are doing in every part of Baltimore to improve and protect our drinking water system, enhance our streams and repair our storm drains, renew our sewage lines, clean our streets and alleys, battle rats and graffiti, and much more.

Now Available, 2019 Watercraft Permits for Liberty and Prettyboy Reservoirs

Baltimore City Department of Public Works Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., today announced that boaters can now apply for their 2019 Watercraft Permit for Liberty and Prettyboy Reservoirs.   Boating season at Liberty and Prettyboy runs from March 1 through December 31, weather permitting. Boating permits for Loch Raven Reservoir are issued through the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks.  Boating is allowed at Loch Raven from April 5, 2019 – October 27, 2019.

The 2019 Public Works Calendar is in the Mail

Baltimore City Department of Public Works Director Rudolph S. Chow, P.E., announced today that the 2019 Department of Public Works (DPW) Calendar is in the mail to Baltimore City residents. The calendar provides a wealth of important information for City residents, with dates and times for scheduled DPW services, convenience center drop-off hours and locations, and upcoming events.
