The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver. If granted, the project need not comply with the requirements of the State’s Design Manual for quantity control.

Project Description: |
The project site has an area of 8.75 acres and is located northeast of the intersection of N. Hilton Street and Phelps Lane. The project will consist of redevelopment of a former City school site for use as a school by Green Street Academy. The work includes renovation of the existing school building, demolition of a rear annex building, demolition of an asphalt play area, and rehabilitation of an existing parking lot. The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code. The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver. The project will provide impervious area reduction to satisfy the requirements of this waiver for 1.31 acres of this project.
