Application for Redevelopment Waiver
The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver. If granted, the project need not comply with the requirements of the State’s Design Manual for quantity control.

Project Description: | The B&O Railroad Museum project site is located at 2 Ramsay Street in Baltimore, Maryland. The project site has a limit of disturbance 1.61 acres within the museum property and right- of ways for Ramsay Street to the south, a right-of-way for James Street to the west, a right-of-way for Amity Street to the east, and the rails within the Museum property to the north. It is a redevelopment of a parking lot, train yard, and private Arlington Ave improvements. The proposed redevelopment will be an improved intersection of Arlington Ave (private), Ramsay St, Cross St, and James St, and an open space exhibit space. Included in this project are hardscape improvements, landscaping, and utility infrastructure. The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code. The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver. The project will remove 0.27 ac of existing impervious area and will provide on-site stormwater controls for 1.02 acres to meet all conditions of the waiver.
