DPW Extends Comment Period for the Water for All Regulations New Comment Deadline: Saturday, July 17, 2021

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) is extending public comment on draft regulations to facilitate the implementation of the new Water for All Discount Program, serving eligible Baltimore City households with incomes below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).

Under the extended comment period, the public has until Saturday, July 17, 2021, to review and comment on the draft regulations. Acting Director Jason W. Mitchell will consider public input before finalizing the proposed regulations.

The Water for All Discount Program draft regulations would apply to Baltimore City residents who receive bills from the City for water and wastewater charges.

Under the draft regulations for the Water for All Discount Program, water customers who are enrolled in DPW’s current discount programs, BH2O Assists or BH2O Assists Plus, on or before June 30, 2021, may continue in the program for one year.  However, customers must apply for the Water for All Discount Program during the next re-enrollment period no later than June 30, 2022.

DPW Announces Passing of Solid Waste Worker

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) is heartbroken to announce the loss of a dedicated member of our Bureau of Solid Waste, Timothy Cartwell, a solid waste worker assigned to the Reedbird Sanitation Yard. His passing is a profound loss for our agency, and we extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and colleagues.
