The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a stormwater management waiver.

Project Description: This project will provide a bulk sodium hypochlorite storage and feed facility at the Montebello Plant Site #1 and Plant Site #2 and will also include sodium hypochlorite storage and feed facilities. The total Limit of Disturbance (LOD) for both sites is approximately 2.38 acres. Plant #1 is located at 3901 Hillen Road and Plant Site #2 is located at 3900 Hillen Road. The proposed facilities will include the following: proposed chemical storage buildings with driveways, new utility connections to the proposed buildings including water, sanitary sewer, and electric., chemical transfer piping, stormwater management.

The Applicant has demonstrated that on-site water quantity control for 0.21 ac of this project is not practicable. The Applicant will satisfy the water quantity controls for this project by payment of fee-in-lieu of on-site stormwater management for 0.21 ac of his project.
