The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a Stormwater Management variance. If granted, the project will still need to provide water qualitative and quantitative controls, per the requirements of the State’s Design Manual.

Project Description: The project has an approximate area of 4.31 acres and is located 4001 Clifton Avenue. The project will consist of demolishing the existing community center and replacing it with a new structure, as well as all associated parking, sidewalks, utilities, and stormwater management.
The Applicant is requesting a waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code. According to MDE Stormwater Management Design requirements, the project will need to provide treatment for 1.85 acres of proposed impervious surface. As designed, the project will provide for treatment of 1 .70 acres of proposed impervious surface. A variance is being requested for the remaining 0. 15 acres of impervious surface. The project design meets all other requirements for stormwater management per the MDE Stormwater Management Design Manual.
