Application for Redevelopment Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver. If granted, the project will still need to provide water qualitative controls, per the requirements of the State’s Design Manual.

Project Description:

 The project entails rail track rehabilitation adjacent to the B&O Railroad Museum from beyond S. Arlington Avenue towards S. Carey St. The project site contains a Limit of Disturbance of 0.36 acres. Additionally, existing impervious area removal is proposed to address the storm water management requirements, and the S. Arlington Avenue crossing will be reconstructed.

The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code. The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver. The project will remove 0.11 acres of existing impervious, which results in an overall impervious decrease of 0.01 acres. The redevelopment is satisfied with the removal of 50% of the existing impervious area
