Application for Redevelopment Waiver
The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a Redevelopment Stormwater Waiver. If granted, the project need not comply with the requirements of the State’s Design Manual for quantity control.

Project Description: The Penn Station North Concourse site address is 1 E. Lanvale St. The proposed limits of disturbance (LOD) is 1.41 acres.
The project scope includes the removal of asphalt pavement and a landscaped slope, and the abandonment/removal of utilities. The proposed improvements include a new rail station, hardscape plazas, and utilities. There is a net increase of 0.31 acres of impervious surfaces and a total of 0.84 acres of impervious surfaces to be treated.
The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code. The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver. The project will provide a Green Roof and two Underground Sand Filters to satisfy the requirements of this waiver for 0.84 acres for this project.
