Water Contract 1413 – Lake Montebello and Montebello Washwater Lake Dredging

Application for Qualitative Control Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a stormwater management waiver related to qualitative control.

Project Location:  The project has an approximate area of 37.82 acres and is located between Hillen Road and Harford Road at Lake Montebello and the Montebello Water Filtration Plant. 

Project Description:  The project includes the dredging of the eastern portion of Lake Montebello and the Montebello Washwater Lake for maintenance to restore full capacity.

The Applicant is requesting a qualitative control waiver for stormwater management in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-2 of the City Code. The Applicant has demonstrated that the 37.82 ac of the project will return the disturbed area to the current runoff condition, therefore the applicant has met the criteria for this type of waiver.
