Application for Redevelopment Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver. If granted, the project will still need to provide water qualitative controls, per the requirements of the State’s Design Manual.

Project Description: The ER4129 Environmental Restoration Project 13 project is a bundle of City of Baltimore (COB) Municipal Separate Sewer System (MS4) and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) restoration projects for various communities within COB’s limits under MS4 and TMDL Watershed Implementation Plan (WIP).  dated on August 19. 2015 (Revised). The project will enhance the water quality in the impaired watersheds of Baltimore Harbor, Gwynns Fall and Jones Falls within COB and ultimately the Chesapeake Bay. This project calls for the construction of 27 Best Management Practices (BMP) sites within the project limits. The project will consist of 25 stormwater bump-outs and 2 bioretention facilities. The disturbed area is 1.12 acres. The impervious area treated is 8.71 acres.

The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code.  The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver.
