Application for Redevelopment and Qualitative Control Waiver
The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment and qualitative control waiver. If granted, the project will still need to provide water qualitative controls, per the requirements of the State’s Design Manual.

Project Description: The project has an approximate area of 5.52 acres and is located south-west at the intersection of S Hanover Street and Barney Street. The project will consist of demolition of current site conditions, installation of underground utilities, and building construction.
The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code. The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver. The project will provide impervious area reduction of 0.09 acres to satisfy the requirements of this waiver.
The Applicant is requesting a qualitative control waiver in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-2 of the City Code. The Applicant has demonstrated that the 0.19 acres project will return the disturbed area to a predevelopment runoff condition. The applicant will not be required to provide qualitative control controls for 0.19 acres of this project.
