Application for Redevelopment, Quantitative, and Qualitative Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a redevelopment waiver. If granted, the project need not comply with the requirements of the State’s Design Manual for quantity control.

Project Description: The project has an approximate area of 0.26 acres and is located north of the intersection of Benninghaus Road and Hess Avenue. The project will consist of demolition of a vacant dwelling and expansion of an existing parking lot with associated curb and sidewalk improvements. 

The Applicant is requesting a redevelopment waiver in accordance with Article 7, §23-7 of the City Code.  The existing impervious area coverage meets the conditions for this waiver. The Applicant has demonstrated that on-site water quality and quantity control is not practicable. The Applicant will satisfy the water quality controls for this project by payment of fee-in-lieu of on-site stormwater management for 0.21 this project.
