Application for Qualitative Control Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a qualitative control and quantitative control waivers.

Applicant: The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works and Johnson, Mirmiran and Thompson, Inc., 40 Wight Ave, Hunt Valley, MD 21030

Watershed(s): High Level

Project Description: The project has an approximate area of 3.23 acres and is located in the High Level Sewershed. The project will consist of the replacement of approximately 6,812 linear feet of sanitary sewer and the installation of 9,492 linear feet of relief sanitary sewer. Sewer rehabilitation improvements will be accomplished through jack and bore and open cut installation. Johnson, Mirmiran and Thompson, Inc. also intends to rehabilitate approximately 38 sanitary manholes and install 46 new sanitary manholes. All disturbed areas will be restored in kind.

The Applicant is requesting a qualitative control waiver in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-2 of the City Code.  The Applicant has demonstrated that the 3.23 ac of the project will return the disturbed area to a predevelopment runoff condition. The applicant will not be required to provide qualitative control controls for 3.23 ac of this project.
