The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a qualitative control and quantitative control waivers.

Project Description:

The project has an approximate area of 0.59 acres and is located at the intersection of W 39th Street and Canterbury Road. The project will consist of the removal of an existing courtyard over an existing parking garage, repair of the garage roof, and construction of a new courtyard with less impervious surface. Also a new access stair and handicapped access ramp on the adjacent portion of the site. The courtyard portion of the project is considered as maintenance rather than new construction.

The Applicant is requesting a qualitative control waiver in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-2 of the City Code. The Applicant has demonstrated that the 0.51 ac of the project will return the disturbed area to a predevelopment runoff condition. The applicant will not be required to provide qualitative control controls for 0.51 ac of this project.

The Applicant is requesting a variance in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-4 of the City Code for approximately 0.08 acre of this project. The applicant will not be required to provide qualitative control or quantitative control for 0.08 acre (0.02 acre of impervious area) associated with this project.
