The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a qualitative control waiver.

Project Description:

The project has an approximate area of 0.34 acres and is located at the southwest corner at the intersection of Clarkson Street and West Fort Avenue. The project will consist of thirteen single-family attached dwellings.

The Applicant is requesting a qualitative control waiver in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-2 of the City Code. The Applicant has demonstrated that on-site water quality control (recharge volume) is not practicable. The Applicant will satisfy the water quality controls (recharge volume) for this project by payment of fee-in-lieu of on-site stormwater management for 0.34 acres of this project.

The Applicant has demonstrated that 0.34 ac. of the project directly discharges to a public storm system that can accommodate the anticipated stormwater flows from the project site without downstream flooding or stream-bank erosion. The applicant will not be required to provide quantitative control for 0.34 ac of this project.

The Applicant is requesting a qualitative control variance in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §24-2 of the City Code. The Applicant has demonstrated that because of practical difficulty, 850 square feet of the project will not be managed by the on-site stormwater management facilities. The applicant will not be required to provide qualitative control for 850 square feet of this project.
